    Photos 2-7 are mine. Big windows in #3 were added long after the building's construction, probably in 19th century renovations. Gun-port shown in #7 were a requirement during the wild and wooly days of the French and Indian War & the War of Independence.

    None remain in private ownership: a local historical group owns and maintains the structures. Tours available.

    The houses were built by French Huguenots, not just Belgian. There were more French Protestants in the original families that purchased land there. One of my forefathers, Simon Lefevre, was one of them.
